Dr. Gandhi to Speak on World Peace

altDr. Sohan L. Gandhi, one of our most notable professors will be presenting workshops and lectures during the month of September in Krakow, Poland, Mexico City, Mexico and New York City. Dr. Gandhi will speak on the Jain Way to Peace, Harmony, and Social Excellence during the September 6 to the 8 meeting of the Community of San Egidio in Krakow, Poland. On September 9 Dr. Gandhi will present a workshop and lecture on Universal Peace and Disarmament at a United Nation conference in Mexico City. On September 14, he will speak on universal peace at the UN General Assembly Conference in New York City.
The President, faculty, and Board of Governors of the Intercultural Open University Foundation are very honored to share with the world at large Dr. Gandhi's dedication to peace and non-violence. Dr. Gandhi serves on the Intercultural Open University Foundation Board of Governors and as Professor of Sociology.

Jackson as Vice-President for Quality Assurance and Social Responsibility. Dr. Jackson has a long and distinguished career in Higher Education including the areas of educational policy, higher education administration, performance appraisal, life-long learning programs, strategic planning and socially relevant learning.

The President of Intercultural Open University Foundation, Dr. Sandra Hurlong and the Board of Governors are pleased and honored to announce that IOU Foundation has been accepted for full membership in the European Foundation for Quality in eLearning (EFQUEL), http://www.qualityfoundation.org. EFQUEL is a membership Foundation based in Brussels, Belgium and supports a membership of over eighty members.

 
Intercultural Open University Scholarships for Social Change

There are numerous reasons why the Board of Governors and the President of Intercultural Open University Foundation want to make the world a better place for humankind. Our main goal is to help our learners succeed in life so that they can achieve their goals. We want our learners to take active roles as social change agents in improving the community in which they live. Through the educational process at IOU Foundation, we want to assist in enabling our learners to believe that they can make a difference working as forces for good.

The Dr. Jan R. Hakemulder Social Change Scholarships, the Dr. Fay Hakemulder Gender Issues Scholarships, and the Dr.Sebastian Devasia (Asinanda) Peace and Non-Violence Studies Scholarships have been established in their honor because of their dedication and devotion to Intercultural Open University Foundation and to the world community. These three individuals dedicated their lives to help and empower the lives of so many deserving people.
