mainAugust 27, 2014, New York City—Dr. Sohan Lal Jain Gandhi, Professor of Social Science at Intercultural Open University Foundation (IOUF) was the Keynote speaker at the UN DPI/NGO Conference and spoke on the topic of The Crisis of Unsustainability:  The Vision of a Sustainable World. Dr. Gandhi is currently the International President of Anuvrat Global Organization (ANUVIBHA) and holds PhD degrees from Universidad Azteca Mexico and Universidad Central de Nicaragua.

picstitchAugust 1, 2014, Jaipur, India—Dr. Gulab Kothari, Advisor to Intercultural Open University Foundation (IOUF) and Editor and Chief of the Rajasthan Patrika newspaper, was awarded a Dual PhD in Administration from Universidad Central de Nicaragrua (UCN)and Universidad Azteca (UA).  The Faculty of UCN/UA and IOUF congratulate Dr. Kothari for his research writings and for his life-long dedication toward world peace, sustainable development, and world poverty.  Both UCN/UA and IOUF are honored to have Dr. Kothari as a part of our consortium dedicated to social change.
IOU Foundation Supports Scholarships for Indigenous Women of Oaxaca

IOU Foundation President Sandra Hurlong participated with the Lila Downs benefit for Casa de la Mujer in Oaxaca, Mexico.  In keeping with its commitment to sustainability and education, IOUF donates annually to the Guadalupe Musalem Scholarship Fund.

This fund supports the education of young women with limited economic resources who might otherwise not be able to complete their studies. This education project reaches out to eight regions in the State of Oaxaca and 68 rural indigenous communities. Since its inception in 1995 over 100 young women have benefited from the project and 23 have now finished their university programs.
IOUF is proud to participate in this educational project which has many positive benefits for both women’s education and their home communities.
