The Dr. Sebastian Devasia (Asiananda) Scholarships for Peace

The following Scholarships are available for Learners enrolled in IOU Foundation Programs:

Dr. Sebastian Devasia (Asiananda) was a Professor of Philosophy and held the Sri Aurobindi Chair of Human Unity at IOU Foundation. He was a respected scholar in peace studies worldwide. His two acclaimed books were Wither India and The Nuclear Subcontinent (with Jan R. Hakemulder). Dr. Asiananda was the founder of the India Unity Forum in Germany in 1986. Along with Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, he called for the first global convention for people of Indian origin in 1989. He was a creative thinker, and all of us at IOU Foundation will always value his contributions to world peace.

In his honor, IOU Foundation will award scholarships ranging from 1,000 Eurodollars to 5,000 Eurodollars to learners who are actively involved in promoting world peace as social change agents and support the philosophy of nonviolence as a means to promote peace.
 
The Dr. Jan R. Hakemulder Scholarships for Social Change

The following Scholarships are available for Learners enrolled in IOU Foundation Programs:

Jan R. Hakemulder, PhD, was the founder and the President of Intercultural Open University Foundation. He served as a United Nations Chief Technical Adviser to Kenya and Ethiopia. He was devoted in his efforts to "uplift the poor masses in the developing world." In his honor, IOU Foundation is offering scholarships in the amount ranging from 1,000 Eurodollars to 5,000 Eurodollars to learners that are actively involved in social change programs.
 
The Dr. Fay Hakemulder Scholarships for Gender Related Issues

The following Scholarships are available for Learners enrolled in IOU Foundation Programs:

Fay Hakemulder, PhD, together with her husband Jan R. Hakemulder, PhD, established the Intercultural Open University Foundation in 1988. Fay Hakemulder was known in many African and Asian countries, served as the Assistant-Advisor to the UNESCO Chief Technical Advisor in Kenya, and later as an Associate Expert for Adult Education with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

In Fay Hakemulder's honor, IOU Foundation is offering learners scholarships that range in aid from 1,000 Eurodollars to 5,000 Eurodollars. Learners need to be actively involved in the type of social change that enable women worldwide an opportunity for personal empowerment and well being.
 
Intercultural Open University Scholarships for Social Change

The following Scholarships are available for Learners enrolled in IOU Foundation Programs:

There are numerous reasons why the Board of Governors and the President of Intercultural Open University Foundation want to make the world a better place for humankind. Our main goal is to help our learners succeed in life so that they can achieve their goals. We want our learners to take active roles as social change agents in improving the community in which they live. Through the educational process at IOU Foundation, we want to assist in enabling our learners to believe that they can make a difference working as forces for good.
