To arrest the spread of Corona virus it is essential to maintain the personal hygiene. And in the open markets of Oaxaca where getting out of their houses is a daily necessity for many and clean water not so easily available, a hand washing station is a blessing. Vera Claire’s social enterprise Cosa Buena is installing easy to assemble hand washing stations outside the markets in Mexico. So far, Cosa Buena has distributed stations to five local markets in the Oaxaca City with more to be delivered. With the help of local artisans, the social enterprise designs and produces handicraft pieces and sell them via ecommerce.
