Nicaragua is moving quickly to become a green energy driving force.  Within a few years, the vast majority of Nicaragua’s electricity will come from hydroelectric dams, geothermal plants, and wind farms.

The Central University of Nicaragua (UCN), a consortium partner with Intercultural Open University Foundation (IOUF) and the Universidad Azteca, is leading the way with the development of its new solar campus.  To ensure the integrity for tomorrow’s students, UCN is demonstrating thoughtful environmental stewardship.
